I first touched Dungeons and Dragons (3.5e) back when I was 11/12.

I barely knew how to play it then. These days:

- I have D&D 5th ed (2014/2024) - but mostly for the universe, lore and adventures.

- I use/play Shadowdark instead. The torch mechanics, the streamlining/unified rules (e.g. single initiative, non-Vancian spellcasting, limited classes, ancestry bonuses), OSR compatibility with older D&D modules. Really appeals to me.

So I enjoyed this. The man's passion is on a different level.
