That's a beautiful hadith!
Though IMHO, in reconciling the lessons from the surah/hadith:
- Most arguments are unnecessary. Avoid those. (Virtually all on the Internet, and many in real life, I suppose.)
- Some arguments are necessary, and resolving them is the only way forward. That is where the guidance (on how to disagree) fits.
Hmm. Now that I think about it: perhaps immaturity is where we can't distinguish between necessary and unnecessary arguments at all.
And maturity is once we can.
